SAGINAW, MI — MyMichigan Health has expanded its laboratory services with a new draw station at MyMichigan Health Park Riverfront in downtown Saginaw, offering testing options for patients there.
The lab services facility, located at 1015 S. Washington Ave., opened with operating hours from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, staff said.
The location is owned and operated by MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw.
The new draw station provides access to routine and specialty lab tests that will be processed at the medical center. Through a partnership with University of Michigan’s, more advanced testing is also available at the location.
“By keeping the majority of specimens local, we ensure rapid turnaround times — including outpatient STAT testing within two hours — while minimizing transport delays,” Ziad Daoud, system director of laboratory services at MyMichigan Health, said in a statement.
The riverfront location joins several other Saginaw-area lab sites and represents one of more than 30 locations across MyMichigan Health’s service area. Community members do not need to be current MyMichigan patients to access these services, as all locations accept walk-ins with orders from any provider or facility.
